Cornelia O'Connor

Born Gothenburg, Sweden. Trained at City of Bath College on an art foundation course and am currently in my 2nd year of a Fine Art Sculpture BA at Central St Martins College.

My work is based on self-portraiture, showing love and a celebration of the body and sexuality: Asymmetrical, real positions of scrumpled flesh- which I find beautiful- as opposed to the media's rigid representation designed to sell products through sex and bodyism which is the focal imagery of the twentieth century.

I work with the nude showing a fragile, almost two dimensional, skin, and with the way in which it relates to the portrayal of the internal psychology of the human being.
